Our Mission

The Global Grid for Learning will connect a billion digital resources to education in the next ten years. Globalgridforlearning.org will support the education community in the creation of open education content and professional development as well as facilitate the sharing of free resources within the education community. Registered users of globalgridforlearning.org can upload and download education resources for free, typically under an open content or Creative Commons license. If you or your organization has content that it would like to share with the global education community, or would like to share globalgridforlearning.org content with your users, we want to hear from you!

In addition, GGFL will establish collaborations between educators and schools worldwide with the goal of jointly developing open education resources. The GGFL Capacity Building Program will provide free online training opportunities for teachers, education publishers and authors to develop their content creation and usage skills.
