Home Page

This is your home page within the Global Grid for Learning environment.  You can keep track of your GGFL friends and receive announcements as well as other news related to education, media creation, and topics of interest to educators around the globe.  You can receive personal alerts here, and use your calendar to keep track of collaboration events and activities with other GGFL educators.

Communication

The Communications room allows you to maintain close connections with friends, colleagues and professional associates.  You can search a central directory of ggfl participants and add individuals to their Contacts list with whom they regularly communicate.  You can use the Groups search tool to locate special interest groups in which you would like to monitor or participate.  Colleagues with whom you have a closer daily working relationship can be added as Friends.  Friends will share more closely in the activities of your daily professional life.

Content

The Content page allows you to search the extensive Global Grid for Learning databases to access learning objects and resources.  Objects created and uploaded using the content creation tools will be displayed here.

Classroom

This page allows you to search for professional development classes related to media creation and distribution.  Classes in which you are registered will be displayed on this page.  New offerings, and popular courses will be displayed in the "Featured Courses" box.

Collaboration

A series of web-based collaboration tools located on this page will enable you to collaborate effortlessly with other ggfl colleagues, creating learning resources that will benefit students around the globe.
